No there has not been one released yet. However - Murph wrote in message news:[email protected]. Can anyone tell me if there is a Raster Design Object Enabler for Civil 3D 2011? I just installed Civil 3D 2011 on my machine and none of my.sid files are recognized. It was working well with 2010.
I'd hate to go back and have to use 2010 after I spent all this time installing and familiarizing myself with Civil 3D 2011. Any help would be appreciated.EZ Ed Zabala.
Works ok for me, Win7 64x. Murph 'tr4driver' wrote in message news:[email protected]. I can't figure out how to make the hack work because I don't have the registry entry referenced: HKEYLOCALMACHINE SOFTWARE Autodesk AutoCAD R18.0 AdImaging I have C3D 2010 and the Raster OE 2010 (64-bit) installed and working fine on my system, but cant figure out how to make the hack work if I don't have the same registry entries. Has anyone here been able to get it to work on a 64-bit system? Murph you apparently are showing Raster Design installed as a 64 bit program, but as far as I know the Civil dudes had to install in 32 bit to match Civil 3D 2010.

Maybe installing TrueView 2010 64 bit then installing the RD OE will install the 64 bit version. Both of my systems have it, the registry key, one 32 bit one 64 bit. I have no knowledge of the facts, but I'm guessing support for SID files is enabled with the presence of one or two.DLL files and some registry entries. This should be built into MAP (and therefore C3D), period. McSwain http://cadpanacea.com. Don't even try using multiple view ports or more than one layout.

I'm sure you are aware of this one. McSwain http://cadpanacea.com. This is why FDO is useless for raster images. Sure, I can add a bunch to the screen, but as soon as you need to pan & zoom, the performance drops dramatically. And lets not forget that plotting with FDO would make even Hawking go bonkers. Ever had a triangular piece of image just disappear?
And it's not always in the same spot. This whole not having Raster Design 2011 is causing many headaches. I just don't understand how Autodesk can say they've released all the 2011 products, yet not have one that a lot of people depend upon. Ever since they took out MrSID support from base Map 3d, there's been nothing but headaches using Autodesk software in regards with images. Issue You regularly receive files from AutoCAD Civil 3D and often need to view and manipulate 3D objects in these drawings. Having an issue with increased or bloated file size in drawings that originated in, or have Xrefs that originated in, AutoCAD Civil 3D? Solution The Civil Object Enabler allows you to open and complete work in 3D drawings that originate from AutoCAD Civil 3D.
You can download it for free directly from Autodesk for the version of Civil 3D you're working with:. The AutoCAD Proxy system only allows viewing Civil 3D objects – and then only if the file was saved. With the Object Enabler installed, you can both view and manipulate the Civil 3D objects – and regardless of the proxy setting when the file was saved.
